  On Thursday, September 28, 2017, I was travelling from Vancouver to Port Hardy when it felt like my rear tire was separating. I pulled into a tire shop in Parksville, but because of the time of year, with people putting on snow tires, they were unable to fit me in for a couple of hours. They recommended the Parksville Petro Canada station as the place where they send overflow clients. I went to the Parksville Petro Canada station, spoke to the manager Wayne, who looked at my car within a few minutes and got it on a hoist within 20 minutes. The mechanic Stu diagnosed the problem as the wheel bearing, probably from driving the Dempster Highway a couple of months before, and spent the next 3 hours fixing it. I understand that clients who had been booked in had to be rescheduled, and despite this, Wayne and Stu only showed a willingness to work around the wrench I had thrown into their day. I was and remain most appreciative of the accommodation and the work. I have a law firm in Vancouver Richter Trial Lawyers, and confess I relearned a lesson that day from Wayne and Stu about how to treat customers. John M. Richter

  Whenever I need gas in Parksville this is where I go. I collect Petro points as it's always nice to get a 5/10 cent off card once in a while. I usually pay at the pump but sometimes have to go inside to get my receipt when the printer is out of paper or when I like a snack. The staff is always very friendly and helpful.

  While visiting Parksville, our vehicle battery died. BCAA gave us a jump start, then led us over to the Parksville Petro-Canada where we received prompt, caring service. After installing a new battery, they discovered the alternator was not functioning properly. Although it was Friday afternoon, they assured us they would get the new part and get the work done by the end of the day. True to their word, they did this and we were able to head back to the campground by suppertime. They were very caring and understanding about the anxiety and needs of stranded travelers, especially as one of has vision and mobility challenges. They kept us informed about what was happening each step along the way, and generally helped us through this stressful episode.

  Outstanding service and responsiveness. These guys saved me when I was stranded in Parksville with a car that wouldn't start. They fit me in quick and got me back on my reserved ferry home to the mainland. Super nice and helpful!

  These guys were amazing!!! We blew a u-joint on the highway towing a trailer and we had limited resources to fix it on the side of the highway so we brought my driveshaft there in hopes of borrowing their u-joint press and not only were they more than anxious to help me out, but it was almost like they dropped everything they were doing to help me. You don't get service like that too often these days. Hats off to the crew and I wouldn't hesitate to go back to these guys. I will recommend these guys any day. CHEERS!!!
