This is our second summer vacation in Parksville, and we have been at this restaurant 4 times now. Three times last summer and once this year, earlier this evening. Overall my comments would be that this restaurant is extremely over priced for the quality of food and service that it delivers. All 4 times we have been here, the wait time from ordering food to the delivery of food has been very long. Breakfast food took almost 30 minutes to arrive and two of our 3 dishes arrived barely warm. Tonight we ordered Cioppino and some appetizers. Both our Cioppino's arrived luke warm, in a very thick sauce, not a broth, which is what I've had pretty much everywhere else I've ever ordered it. There was a lot of seafood in it, but it was overly bland and felt like it had been assembled in the bowl and then microwaved, as all the elements in it seemed to be different temperatures. Some fish was warm, other pieces were cold, the mussels were really hot....you get the picture. The gyoza appetizer taste like gyoza you would pick up at the grocery store and warm up at home. The Bison Meatballs were dry and hard. The Caesar Salad looked like the kind you pick up in a bag and assemble at home.

The view can't be beat.....but we won't be giving them anymore of our money.

I will say, the view can't be beat and all of the front of line staff was great (hostesses, servers, etc). May have caught them on a bad night but won't be returning.

Called ahead and still waited 50 minutes instead of 30 for a table (which is what we were told the wait would be). Was met by a very rude host (who I think was actually the manager?) who didn't know any information about us calling ahead. We were so frustrated by the wait and our interaction that when we saw the limited and overpriced menu, we decided to leave.

Beautiful ocean view. Our server 'Dave' was both informative and entertaining, adding relaxing fun to our delicious evening meal. Cocktails made right! A compliment to our accommodation.

From what I've had here, the food wasn't bad at all. Their lunch menu consists mostly of burgers and sandwiches, which look pretty good. Their grilled chicken club sandwich was great, it was on a focaccia bread with bacon, lettuce, and tomatoes. Their soups were nice, but the burgers are somewhat small. Food is decent, depends really on what you order.

Pristine location, right on the ocean with gorgeous views. Delicious food with an exceptional sommelier on staff who suggests impeccable pairings. A definite "must do" when on Vancouver island.
