Fantastic campground! Look no further. Large, bright camping spots with friendly staff. I love hearing the river at night while I'm going for a walk. The washrooms are great and they are cleaned often. Heads up that both washrooms are closed during cleaning, so plan accordingly. :)

Told us our campsites were designated by a picnic table and that we couldn't have our tent where it was. When we questioned why the other site we'd also got didn't have a picnic table, she told us people move them? She then placed another tent between ours and the river (despite there being no site there), even though we'd reserved river-front sites. By the way, a site was big enough for a 4-man dome tent and the picnic table (if you were lucky enough to get one). We had to hike our stuff down a muddy slope to even get to the sites. We also had to argue with her because the site said nothing about paying for extra adults, but apparently anything over 2 per site was an extra charge. When we told her that Perry's (save your sanity and go there) didn't charge extra, she phoned to check then reluctantly gave in. We didn't make use of anything besides our tents for sleeping because we felt so unwelcome (and cramped!), so no idea of amenities.

Stayed here a couple of years ago and enjoyed it, so came back and stayed in the same type of unit, a 2 bedroom mobile home. Wasn't as pleased as last visit. The unit #17 isn't level, with a definite slant in the front/kitchen area. That resulted in major vertigo problems for me for the duration of my stay. The deck definitely needs work and was soft in a number of areas. Interior was decently clean but exterior needed attention for cobwebs and bee hive. We didn't have hot water the first day and were told to flip the switches we could find and they knew it was acting up. We managed to fix it. Kitchen is decently stocked and you can get by with the supplies. The river is quite nice. Sandy beach area and room to play. I can't say that i would come back as I will remember the vertigo most prominently. Perhaps this wouldn't bother others but it sure did for me.

We had a family reunion here a couple of years ago and it was a great place. The staff were friendly. They were able to accommodate us all. The large house with the yard was perfect for the huge family dinner, games and visiting.
